SYNOPSIS:

After witnessing a protest turn violent, Mel and Shana grapple with their relationship to a college community that they once called home but now no longer recognize. A Place Like This was written in response to the wave of protests that swept across college campuses between 2015 and 2017, as well as in response to the #BlackLivesMatter movement and community responses to gun violence across America.
