EMERSON LOSES HER MIAND

SYNOPSIS:

A Jew, a Muslim, a Catholic, a Southern Baptist, and two Agnostics, get on board a pedal trolley to kick off Emerson Greene's bachelorette weekend to celebrate her engagement to Zeeshan Mian. But as Emerson's friends start to plan her interfaith wedding, they quickly realize she's keeping a secret that threatens to stop the celebration before anyone can even compare halal/kosher caterers. As the bridal party pedals towards the Grand Ole Opry, no subject – be it interfaith marriage, Islamophobia, Feminism, or the Dixie Chicks – is left untouched.

Emerson Loses Her Miand was developed through a reading at Dixon Place's Lounge and was staged at NY Winterfest with the support of Lyra Theater Presents.
